TREB Market Watch April 2013 Highlight

TREB April Market Watch was titled ""Market Conditions Promote Price Growth in April".  In fact, this reflects the current market sentiment that we realtors experience in the field.  

Furthermore, we agree with TREB President Ms. Hannah's read: "it has been almost a year since the federal government enacted stricter mortgage lending guidelines.  It is realistic to surmise that some households, who originally put their decision to purchase on hold, are once again looking to buy."

A few points that we noted:

-  The number of resales this April was slightly less (-2.1%) than that of April 2012.

-  GTA homes were sold at the average price of $526,335 in April, +2% from 12 months ago. 

-  Sales of detached and semi-detached homes in "905" area grew when compared to the April 2012 report.

- The average sale price of "416" area condos was +5.6% from April 2012.
